The All-Too-Obvious Scam

Remember Hamilton 68? That was the dashboard, created by phony "think tank" Alliance For Securing Democracy, that supposedly tracked some 600 Twitter accounts, which were supposedly Russian bots.

For years, mainstream media regaled us with terrifying stories of how Russia was malevolently influencing American politics through these Twitter accounts. We were never told to whom these accounts belonged. Alliance for Securing Democracy kept it a secret, claiming that were the account-holders to find out that Hamilton 68 was on to them, the Russians would simply close the accounts down and set up new ones.

The upshot of this obvious scam was that the media could claim that any public campaigns or politicians they didn't like were not genuine, but the product of Russian propaganda. Tulsi Gabbard? Oh, she's being promoted by the Russians. Devin Nunes's memo about the FISA warrants--#ReleaseTheMemo? Oh, the Russian bots are pushing it. It was all so easy, so routine. The mainstream reporters were not only smearing and slandering and discrediting people that their reporter-friends wanted to see smeared, slandered and discredited, they were also able to point to some sort of scientific justification for their claims. Hamilton 68 was supposedly run by data analysts.

It was total nonsense of course. It was obvious that it was at the time, and many of us pointed this out. The Russia hysteria that the Hamilton 68 stories generated has of course had a disastrous influence on the United States and NATOLand, which always blindly follows the Americans. Matt Taibbi has looked at the Twitter files and discovered the identity of the 600 or so accounts designated Russian bots. He lists only some of them, evidently reluctant to go public with all of them before getting the consent of the Hamilton 68-targeted individuals.

Sadly, the mainstream media as well as the repugnant politicians who opportunistically jumped on the Russian gravy-train will say nothing, pretend none of it happened and move on to the next "Russia is weaponizing X" story. Whether it was the Christopher Steele fake dossier, the fake FISA warrants, the Russian bounties in Afghanistan, there is never any accountability, never any reckoning.

We’ve been sold the lie that busyness is greatness—but the truth is, most geniuses were “lazy” by today’s standards. In this video, I break down the lost aristocratic virtue of leisure, why true insight comes from rest (not grind), and how to structure your life like Goethe, Nietzsche, and other timeless minds who mastered the art of doing less, but better.

World War Now:
🇮🇱❌🇮🇷 — In a letter to Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, Israel's former Defense Minister Yoav Galant says:

“We see everything in Iran.
We hear everything.
We are everywhere...

In more ways than one, we knew more about you than you knew about yourselves.”

Israeli Defense Minister Katz to Khamenei:

"If we have to return - we will return and with even greater force.

Israel's long arm will catch you in Tehran, Tabriz, Isfahan, and wherever you try to threaten and harm Israel from. There is no place where you can hide."

More Leftie Than Thou
"Jacobin" Magazine Celebrates A Strike Against Ol' Blue Eyes

Here at "The Gaggle" we have very little time for the "more Leftie than thou" school of thought--that's the approach to life according to which the only thing that matters is whether you take the right position on every issue under the sun from Abortion to Zelensky. No one in the world meets the exacting standards of this school of thought; any Leftie leader anywhere is always selling out to the bankers and the capitalists. The perfect exemplar of this is the unreadable Jacobin magazine.

The other day I came across this article from 2021. It's a celebration of trade union power. And not simply trade union power, but the use of trade union power to secure political goals. Of course (and this is always the case with the "more Leftie than thou" crowd), this glorious, never-to-be-forgotten moment on the history of organized labor took place many years ago--in the summer of 1974 to be exact. Yes, almost half a century has gone by since that thrilling moment when the working-class movement of Australia mobilized and prepared to seize the means of production, distribution and exchange.

Well, not quite. Organized labor went into action against...Ol' Blue Eyes, the Chairman of the Board, the Voice; yes, Frank Sinatra. Why? What had Sinatra done? Sinatra was certainly very rich, and he owned a variety of properties and businesses. But if the Australian trade union movement were, understandably, searching for the bright, incandescent spark that would finally awaken the working class from its slumber there were surely richer, greedier, more dishonest, more decadent, above all more Australian individuals it could have discovered. Australia was never short of them. Rupert Murdoch immediately springs to mind. Why Sinatra?
