Imagine what life will be like in the Russian-occupied Donbass if this is true

Two locomotives used for oil transportation on the Trans-Siberian Railway were reportedly destroyed by the partisan group “Black Spark” in Tyumen and Yekaterinburg (RF).

The first target was a two-section diesel locomotive at the Voinovka station in Tyumen, a major hub for trains carrying oil and gas products from western Siberia. Days later, partisans struck a freight electric locomotive 2ES6-475 at Sverdlovsk-Sorting station in Yekaterinburg. The combined damage is estimated at around 200 million rubles.

Despite heavy security, surveillance systems, and armed railway guards, the partisans reportedly escaped unnoticed. The incidents have alarmed Russian authorities, the regional FSB departments, as both stations are key nodes for oil transportation to European Russia and export routes. According to the group, the sabotage aims to disrupt oil logistics and weaken Kremlin revenues. Regional FSB departments in Tyumen and Sverdlovsk have reportedly been placed on high alert and ordered by Moscow to find those responsible. At the same time, authorities allegedly tried to keep news of the destroyed locomotives from spreading publicly.

Reported in Russian media: China Asks Russia to Reduce Gas Price by 5 Times to Approve the "Power of Siberia – 2" Project

Vladimir Putin embarked on his 25th visit to China to once again persuade Xi Jinping to agree to the construction of the "Power of Siberia – 2" gas pipeline . Since the main stumbling block remains the issue of supply costs, "Gazprom" made a very advantageous offer on the gas price, a source close to the monopoly told Bloomberg. However, the Chinese side did not demonstrate readiness to advance the project.

According to him, Beijing still wants to buy gas at a price comparable to the level on the domestic Russian market. It is heavily subsidized and amounts to about $50 per thousand cubic meters. This is about 12 times lower than current European quotations and 5 times lower than the price China is currently paying — $258. https://x.com/Beefeater_Fella/status/2057016829034262676?s=20 :))))) unlimited partnership

Gazprom's shares plummeted after Putin's visit to China. The parties were again unable to agree on the construction of the "Power of Siberia 2" pipeline. They have been trying to build the pipeline for over 10 years. https://x.com/Beefeater_Fella/status/2057204051683459195?s=20

Ukraine may have found a cheap way to give a drone extra range.
Let a balloon do the first 42 km.

Ukrainian troops reportedly tested launching the Ukrainian-American Hornet one-way attack drone from an aerostat. The balloon carried it 42 km and released it from 8 km altitude.

The drone used only about 5% of its battery before beginning its own flight.

The trick is simple: the balloon provides distance and altitude, while the drone keeps almost all of its battery for the real mission. If proven at scale, it could push Hornet’s estimated 100–150 km reach by another 1.5 to ...

More Leftie Than Thou
"Jacobin" Magazine Celebrates A Strike Against Ol' Blue Eyes

Here at "The Gaggle" we have very little time for the "more Leftie than thou" school of thought--that's the approach to life according to which the only thing that matters is whether you take the right position on every issue under the sun from Abortion to Zelensky. No one in the world meets the exacting standards of this school of thought; any Leftie leader anywhere is always selling out to the bankers and the capitalists. The perfect exemplar of this is the unreadable Jacobin magazine.

The other day I came across this article from 2021. It's a celebration of trade union power. And not simply trade union power, but the use of trade union power to secure political goals. Of course (and this is always the case with the "more Leftie than thou" crowd), this glorious, never-to-be-forgotten moment on the history of organized labor took place many years ago--in the summer of 1974 to be exact. Yes, almost half a century has gone by since that thrilling moment when the working-class movement of Australia mobilized and prepared to seize the means of production, distribution and exchange.

Well, not quite. Organized labor went into action against...Ol' Blue Eyes, the Chairman of the Board, the Voice; yes, Frank Sinatra. Why? What had Sinatra done? Sinatra was certainly very rich, and he owned a variety of properties and businesses. But if the Australian trade union movement were, understandably, searching for the bright, incandescent spark that would finally awaken the working class from its slumber there were surely richer, greedier, more dishonest, more decadent, above all more Australian individuals it could have discovered. Australia was never short of them. Rupert Murdoch immediately springs to mind. Why Sinatra?
