China posts record exports. Impressive headlines, same old problem underneath.

Big numbers, thin volumes, weak internal demand, young workers stuck without much opportunity.

The AI buildout looks the same. Hundreds of billions in spending, chips and power bid up in price, capital pulled toward the fashionable trade and away from everything else.

A bubble does not need to collapse to do damage. Sometimes it just quietly hollows out what is underneath it.

Jeremy Moss caught on a hot mic: "The entire purpose of my campaign is to make sure America continues to support Israel. I don't think it's wrong for Jews in America to want to put Israel First. America is not our homeland." https://x.com/KweenInYellow/status/2092101723284255192?s=20

Wouldn't be at all surprised if this were true

So apparently the Argentine beef thing has to do with a powerful Orthodox Jewish business family down there who owns the beef.

They have close ties to both US and Israeli officials, and Trump wants to do them a solid. https://x.com/RetroCoast/status/2092071565370225085?s=20

These pieces of shit delusional propagandists almost sound like the reverse John Birch Society, godless :))) (like godless commies) :D

This is how Russia always frames their fight against the West

Russia is the true heir to the Christian tradition and the West is anti-Christian...

"We are fighting in Ukraine the war on behalf of the tradition against this godless modernity represented in the collective west" https://x.com/seethroughit2/status/2092037684730511494?s=20
Former senior Quds force commander says there was treason in Syria and those Iranians involved should be court martialed. https://x.com/mashabani/status/2091932785984589947?s=46 aligns with Turkish foreign minister’s statements in this screenshot.
Iran itself was involved in the fall of Syria and Hezbollah leadership. The Turkish foreign minister said so. They didn’t fire a single missile at Jolani’s convoys. It would make sense there would be Iranians running with the bs “Assad worked with Israel” diversion....

More Leftie Than Thou
"Jacobin" Magazine Celebrates A Strike Against Ol' Blue Eyes

Here at "The Gaggle" we have very little time for the "more Leftie than thou" school of thought--that's the approach to life according to which the only thing that matters is whether you take the right position on every issue under the sun from Abortion to Zelensky. No one in the world meets the exacting standards of this school of thought; any Leftie leader anywhere is always selling out to the bankers and the capitalists. The perfect exemplar of this is the unreadable Jacobin magazine.

The other day I came across this article from 2021. It's a celebration of trade union power. And not simply trade union power, but the use of trade union power to secure political goals. Of course (and this is always the case with the "more Leftie than thou" crowd), this glorious, never-to-be-forgotten moment on the history of organized labor took place many years ago--in the summer of 1974 to be exact. Yes, almost half a century has gone by since that thrilling moment when the working-class movement of Australia mobilized and prepared to seize the means of production, distribution and exchange.

Well, not quite. Organized labor went into action against...Ol' Blue Eyes, the Chairman of the Board, the Voice; yes, Frank Sinatra. Why? What had Sinatra done? Sinatra was certainly very rich, and he owned a variety of properties and businesses. But if the Australian trade union movement were, understandably, searching for the bright, incandescent spark that would finally awaken the working class from its slumber there were surely richer, greedier, more dishonest, more decadent, above all more Australian individuals it could have discovered. Australia was never short of them. Rupert Murdoch immediately springs to mind. Why Sinatra?
