Indeed

For the life of me, I’ll never understand why this level of fury is reserved for three people who were once among his biggest supporters, but we don’t hear a word about the person/people who tried to k*ll him?

Nothing about the people who prosecuted, imprisoned, and destroyed the lives of thousands of his most loyal supporters?

Or the tech giants that deplatformed hundreds of thousands of us and destroyed businesses, livelihoods, and online communities?

Or the COVID authoritarians who forced people out of their jobs and businesses?

Or the people who tried to put him in prison with four criminal cases?

Or the people who buried him in lawsuit after lawsuit?

These people and institutions did extraordinary damage to Trump, his supporters, and the movement that put him back in the White House.

Imagine if even a fraction of this fury were directed at them.

I ranch with my 85 year old Dad who has been a die hard Trump fan.

Whenever I criticize any Trump decision, even slightly, he’ll get personally offended and won’t want to talk about it. So I’ve
avoided voicing my disdain over his attacks on Massie, spending, Ag, etc. when Dad is in the room.

Today, after the beef import announcement, Dad shook his head, sadly, and said, “you know, I really don’t think he gives a damn about anyone who isn’t rich, and sure not about ranchers. Never wanted to believe that until today.”

There wasn’t a more stalwart Trump supporter on the planet.

Trump is losing the room.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford: “President Trump is the kind of guy who, on the first day, will steal the money from your pocket, on the second day — the hat off your head, and on the third day — your sneakers.”

“This is a very difficult situation, folks, and, you know, you simply can’t trust President Trump. That’s just a fact. He changes the terms of the deal. He constantly moves the goalposts. You absolutely cannot trust him,”

Ford concluded, commenting on the escalating trade war between Canada and the United States.
:)))) the pot calling the kettle black, but he is right on here :))

More Leftie Than Thou
"Jacobin" Magazine Celebrates A Strike Against Ol' Blue Eyes

Here at "The Gaggle" we have very little time for the "more Leftie than thou" school of thought--that's the approach to life according to which the only thing that matters is whether you take the right position on every issue under the sun from Abortion to Zelensky. No one in the world meets the exacting standards of this school of thought; any Leftie leader anywhere is always selling out to the bankers and the capitalists. The perfect exemplar of this is the unreadable Jacobin magazine.

The other day I came across this article from 2021. It's a celebration of trade union power. And not simply trade union power, but the use of trade union power to secure political goals. Of course (and this is always the case with the "more Leftie than thou" crowd), this glorious, never-to-be-forgotten moment on the history of organized labor took place many years ago--in the summer of 1974 to be exact. Yes, almost half a century has gone by since that thrilling moment when the working-class movement of Australia mobilized and prepared to seize the means of production, distribution and exchange.

Well, not quite. Organized labor went into action against...Ol' Blue Eyes, the Chairman of the Board, the Voice; yes, Frank Sinatra. Why? What had Sinatra done? Sinatra was certainly very rich, and he owned a variety of properties and businesses. But if the Australian trade union movement were, understandably, searching for the bright, incandescent spark that would finally awaken the working class from its slumber there were surely richer, greedier, more dishonest, more decadent, above all more Australian individuals it could have discovered. Australia was never short of them. Rupert Murdoch immediately springs to mind. Why Sinatra?
